Realtors serve different functions depending on the situation. Choosing the right Realtor for your specific need is a very important decision.
-
A Sellers Agent (also called a Listing Agent) is a person with whom the seller has signed a listing agreement, and as a result, is working on behalf of the seller. Commissions are paid to the sellers agent by the seller.
- A Buyers’ Agent is a person who has entered into a buyer agency agreement with a buyer, and is working on behalf of the buyer. Commissions are paid to the buyer agent’s broker by the seller or the buyer, depending on what is agreed to in the offer to purchase.
